THE RESTAURANT

Salvatore Pili, a native of Arbus, a small town in the Sardinia province of Cagliari moved to Milan City

in 1961. He started taking first steps in catering, in the footsteps of his brothers who had left the island

for the Continent even earlier. After several experiences in various restaurants in Milan,

in 1979 he opened his first restaurant "La Carbonaia Mare" in Piazza S. Ambrogio, specialized in fish

dishes only. After the great success achieved he founded "L'Antica Osteria del Mare" in July 2006.

OUR SPECIALITIES

Great attention to detail, the bread Carasau accompanying our dishes comes directly from Sardinia, same as the Pecorino cheese, honey of arbutus, the appreciated Bluefin Tuna fish from Charles Forte, the roe of mullet. Liquors of myrtle, fennel and lemon verbena grass produced exclusively by artisans of Laconi, Rosa Lugas. Our recipes are simple but tasty such as Paccheri with mullet fillets, Polenta with Curled octopus, the fried sea food and fish as well as the raw fish.
